Board game designing
Merchants' Prestige

Here is some pictures and other things involving my board game, Merchants' Prestige.

Merchants' Prestige is a first board game that I've designed and I made it to be my thesis for school.

Currently I'm doing play testing to enhance and tweak the rules.

Also the visual look is under constant development.

For the visual look and illustrations I took my friend Janne Puhakka to be part of this project. Also Riikka Turunen is one illustrator.

Illustration for book

I also write stuff, and I decided that I wanted to illustrade one of my short stories.

The story that I chose to illustrate is kind of epic tale of heroes in Fantasy world that I created.

Here you can see my project, starting from sketches...

WIP...?

Convertible shelf complex

In year 2013 at Autumn I was in student exchange in Glasgow Caledonian University. As the name reveals its University in Glasgow, Scotland.

During my stay there I designed an adjustable shelf-complex as part of my studies.
Here you can see some of the sketches where I started my designing, some photos of joint testing and prototypes and the final concept.

Camera Case for Eye-Tracker

In 2012 I was happy to be able to participate in an Eye-Tracker project. Mr. Shahram Eivazi, a Ph.D. Candidate from University of Eastern Finland, was creating an Eye-Tracker program, to be used as an aid to surgeons, for example.

My job was to design a case for a camera that tracks the movement of eyes. I designed the camera casing with Mr. Eivazi, and based on he’s requests.

First I made a 3D drawing and from there we printed it out using a 3D printer.

Of course we needed to do quite a few examples to find the final design that worked. Here on the slideshow you can see some of the earliest designs and the finals also and some photos from prototypes.
